The Department of Economics has been a major section of Arts faculty in Arts, Commerce and Science College, Palus. The Department of Economics is affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur and was established in 1995-96. Department has good strength of students in the College. The Department organizes Industrial visits, Workshops, Guest lectures, Seminars, Bank Visits, Quiz Competition, Exhibition, debating competitions, wallpaper displaying and other competitions and activities for all round development of the students. The Programme focuses on Indian Economy, Principles of Macro Economics, Money and Banking, Principles of Micro Economics, Economics of Development & Planning, International Economics, Research Methodology in Economics; History of Economic Thoughts. The Department has a good collection of books in the central library. The faculty of this department is well qualified and optimistic about the student’s career. Faculty engages in research activities. They give their efforts to make rational and sparkling life for students.
